Angelic Adornments that Give | Seasonal Collective Donations

How handmade pasta angel ornaments were our means of giving back to our community this holiday season and how just a little from all of us created a big impact on those in need.

Angelic Adornments by The Purple Thread

Community is one of The Purple Thread’s main pillars. My family always believed in the importance of giving back however possible. Sometimes that means giving your time, and other times, when fortunate enough, it means monetarily. I will always strive to use The Purple Thread as a way to make it easier for others to give because there is always a need, and there is always a way.

I used to make a version of these ornaments when I was little and was so happy to recreate them in support of two very special local organizations for the 2021 holiday season — Hoboken Shelter and WomenRising.

My hope was that

these little trinkets help others give back this season, and remind us all year-round that we’re always being guided. We could all use a sense of wonder.

Thank you for your contributions, and as always, I’m thankful to be connected by this thread.

Seasonal Donation Recap

Each purchase included a donation towards a fund of the customer’s choosing. We are so proud to have been able to gift a total of $300 to our selected Hoboken-area community partners.

Continue scrolling for an eye-opening breakdown of how our collective donation can be put to work. May we try to remember that when we all do a little, we can give a lot.

Thank you for being angels this season!

And I will not let what I cannot do interfere with what I can do.
